The phrases “adventure sport” or “extreme sport” are used to classify certain activities that feature a high level of danger. These activities often involve speed, height, high levels of physical exertion, and specialized gear or spectacular stunts. These adventure sports can be competitive or non-competitive and often involve individual participants, rather than teams. The high danger associated with these activities places the participants at a significant risk of injury and/or death in the event of an accident or mistake.
Tracy searched online and obtained a list of 125 “regular” sports and 40 “adventure” sports to try. She then started tracking past and current sports activities, trying a new one about once a month. After publicly announcing her intention, other sports and adventure challenges have come to her attention, and an ongoing list of them is being kept and tracked to try.
