Gillie Girls Sprint Triathlon Summer Sports Challenge

  • Gillie Lake 2260 Sands Rd Camillus, NY USA (map)

What happens when you are gathered around a table with women in Julie B. Hughes' “Run to Write” Group, whom you are just getting to know, and suddenly, you leave the meeting having all committed to doing a triathlon together, and the ages of the women in the room are 40-70?

If you want to be part of our gang of women trying their first sprint triathlon to raise money for breast cancer research, join me (and us) at the 14th Annual Gillie Girl Sprint Triathlon on July 27th in Camillus, New York, at and around Gillie Lake.

You can do it yourself or split the triathlon legs with other women. It is made for everyone to enjoy.

Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham is dedicating the race to her friend Teresa Dowe Huggins, who had breast cancer and shines on from above the rainbow. Teresa did her first triathlon after a special friend of hers passed away. The truth is also that many women in her organization are breast cancer survivors or are living with the disease now.

We would love to have you join us so we can rock the athletic world with our power and raise money for such a meaningful cause. Here is my referral link if you want to use it.

Pay and register independently, and then fill out our Women TIES registration page so we know you are coming and to look for you.

Invite other women you know to join us. The more, the merrier, and the more we help to erase breast cancer from future generations of women.
