Tracy has been a long-time cross-country skier and a fairly recent markswoman. In her attempt to try every sport once and blog about it, Tracy heads to Lake Placid to learn and try the Biathlon. Tracy doesn’t have to be the only one to attempt this long-standing winter tradition. You could join her!
In case you didn't know, the Biathlon is a winter sport that combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. The sport of biathlon features many different types of races, with the common thread that contestants ski a cross-country course whose distance is divided into shooting rounds, called bouts. Shooting rounds have no time limit; in some competitions, missed shots add extra distance or time to the contestant's total.
